Coastguard New Zealand is a national organisation with 73 affiliated search and rescue units dedicated to sea rescue and the maritime safety of New Zealand. Coastguard sends out thousands of search rescue and boat rescue crews each year, and is dedicated to improving the boat safety and general marine safety of New Zealanders.
